Rufus, a lovable Labrador retriever cross, has become an internet sensation after hijacking his human’s relaxing bubble bath plans. Living in Scotland with Hollie Wright and her partner Byron, Rufus is very much a part of the family. Recently, when Wright prepared a hot bubble bath for herself, Rufus assumed it was meant for him and made himself comfortable in the tub.
Hollie Wright, a university researcher, caught Rufus in the act and shared the amusing moment on Instagram. The video quickly went viral, garnering over 1.1 million views and 30,000 likes within a week. In the clip, Wright walks into the bathroom to find Rufus looking adorably guilty amidst the bubbles. She exclaims, “Ruf! Again?!” highlighting that this isn’t the first time Rufus has taken over her bath.
Rufus, whose mother is a purebred show Labrador and father a mix, joined Wright’s family at just nine weeks old. He quickly adapted to his new home and has been stealing hearts (and baths) ever since. Instagram users couldn’t get enough of Rufus’ antics, with many suggesting that he should be allowed to enjoy bubble baths as often as he likes. One user humorously noted, “I mean, it’s his bath now, let’s face it.”
