This video may be in Russian, but you know what they say: music is a universal language. The question is, can we really call this music? Watch this clip to see a cute Basenji dog play a sort-of minor scale on the piano with her clumsy little paws, then howl along mournfully. She’s a little flat, but at least the mood is consistent.
The strange thing is, the pup yowls the same sad song when her young master takes over to play a cheerful melody. The dog doesn’t sound very happy about it, but at least her howling cheers up the piano player. There’s something very artistic about all of this.
Later, the two play a little duet. Hopefully, this scene isn’t happening in the middle of a piano lesson, or someone might be out of a teaching job.
Watch the video to the end to see how music tames this savage beast (eventually).
