Life for homeless dogs is difficult, to say the very least. Without a warm home and loving guardians, stray pups are forced to spend their days in fear, searching for a steady source of food and avoiding conflict with other animals – and even cruel people. With around 70 million homeless animals in the U.S. alone, the number of pups facing this situation is absolutely heartbreaking.
Luckily, there are some pretty fantastic organizations that exist with the sole purpose of rescuing homeless animals from the streets and giving them new, happy lives. Hope for Paws is one such organization that is working to help pups in Los Angeles.
When Hope for Paws rescue team got a call about a dog living in an industrial lot, they immediately set out to help. The poor pup was terrifying of people and did his best to evade the team, eventually curling up in a patch of ivy. However, with a lot of patience and kindness, they were finally able to coax a Lucky Leash around the pup’s head and transport him to the safety of their rescue van. After naming him Hendrix, the team swooped him off the vet for care and then right into the arms of his loving new foster mom.
Seeing this pup go from terrified to a bonafide bundle of joy in a matter of hours is sure to make your heart sing! To learn more about Hope for Paws, click here. To inquire about adopting Hendrix, check out Pal Rescue.
