These People Bought a New House … and Then Found a Pit Bull Chained in the Basement (VIDEO)

It’s not often that a dog is included with the purchase of a new home. This is exactly what happened in a recent case … only it wasn’t under the happiest of circumstances. A Pit Bull was found chained up in the basement of a recently purchased house –thankfully, the new homeowner immediately called the Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

According to the video posted on the rescue’s Facebook page, the dog had been living in the basement for quite some time and was found surrounded by feces. Regardless of the situation, the Pit Bull was in good spirits and clearly ecstatic to be in the presence of people. The sweet girl was fittingly named Jumping Bean and will now finally be safe in the loving care of the Stray Rescue.

Please remember that adding a pet to your family is a lifelong commitment that shouldn’t be taken lightly. It is never acceptable to abandon an animal in such a heartless manner. Update 9/14/20: According to a post from 1/1/2019, Jumping Bean found a forever home with lots of toys and a big back yard! We’re so happy for this sweet pup!
