Patagonia, a renowned American outdoor clothing company, recently reaffirmed their powerful stance on environmental Conservation … and on Donald Trump’s curious opinions on the issue of Climate change. The company pledged to Donate the entirety of its Black Friday sales to environmental organizations to fund grassroots Conservation projects … and the grand total reached the astounding $10 million!

According to the company, its total sales on that day turned out to be five times its own expectations, The Independent reports.

Alongside promising that the “enormous love” its customers had shown by spending the money would help many grassroots Conservation projects, the company also made a pointed reference to Trump’s infamous claims about Global warming being a “hoax” and his promise to get the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement.

“The science is telling us loud and clear: we have a problem,” Patagonia said in a blog post. “By getting active in communities, we can raise our voices to defend policies and regulations that will protect wild places and wildlife, reduce carbon emissions, build a modern energy economy based on investment in renewables, and, most crucially, ensure the United States remains fully committed to the vital goals set forth in the Paris Agreement on Climate change.”

The company usually donates one percent of its sales to organizations protecting the environment but this $10 million will definitely “go a long way!” How’s that for consumer activism!
