It is never too late to start eating plant-based, and 96-year-old Anne Fraser is living proof!
After watching the documentary What the Health? with her granddaughter and realizing how broken the animal agriculture system is, Anne wanted to do her part to make a change. On top of this, she was diagnosed with AFib (irregular heartbeat), prescribed medicine made her legs “feel like lead,” and traditional methods of treatment were deemed too risky for someone her age. But, after switching to a plant-based diet, Anne’s AFib is now no more!
Anne stays active and leads a chair yoga class every Monday at her retirement home. She says, “I’ve always ended all my classes with the meta prayer, ‘May all beings be happy and free’ and after becoming vegan, and learning how inhumane and cruel our animal agriculture system is, I realized that I wasn’t doing my part. I was praying for all animals to be happy and free but not practicing it by still consuming animal products. Now when I say that prayer it has a deeper meaning to me.”
