Cats are well known for sometimes being cold and distant. This widely accepted belief has some truth to it, as cats aren’t usually as demonstrative with their affection as dogs, for example.
This attitude has also given cats a reputation for being notoriously hard to train. However, this video proves that this reputation is totally untrue. You can help a cat learn cool tricks, you just have to be creative.
In the video, you can see the ingenious way Monkey the cat’s guardian has trained him to feed himself. Instead of putting out a food bowl, Monkey “hunts” golf balls that are hidden inside his house and then drops the balls into a chute for food. This is awesome because it gives Monkey some much-needed exercise and keeps him amused for hours on end.
The most incredible part about this is that Monkey’s human says he was able to train his smart kitty how to do this in a matter of weeks. All teaching a cat takes is consistency, positive reinforcement, and some time!
