In all fair warning folks, this one is a bit of a tearjerker.
Barbara Garcia was lucky enough to survive the Oklahoma City Tornado. As she told CBS, who interviewed her on the scene in the aftermath, she and her dog had gone in the bathroom to try to ride out the storm. She stands there in the rubble of what used to be her home, and tells the reporter how her dog was ripped from her arms, as they were both thrown about by the tornado. It’s a miracle that she survived at all, and she’s remarkably together for having just gone through such an ordeal.
Suddenly, in the middle of the interview, the reporter spotted something. A dog struggling under the debris. It was Garcia’s lost dog! Remarkably, her dog seems to not only have survived, but to be in just as good shape as Garcia. Garcia puts it best in her own words, “I thought God just answered one prayer, to let me be okay. But he answered both of them.”
Okay, we can’t hold them in any longer. Cue tears of joy.
