Human Nearly Cancels Vacation After Seeing Cat’s Reaction to His Absence

Although most of us are excited to go on vacation, trips do come with one heartbreaking aspect. Sometimes, it is difficult to take our beloved animal companions along with us. This difficulty almost caused one human to head home only ten minutes into his vacation.

Pawl the cat and his person, Jonah, have been best friends since Pawl began visiting Jonah as a young kitten. Jonah adopted him shortly afterward. Pawl loves to show his fondness for his BFF, even leaving one of his favorite toys outside Jonah’s door every night. So, when Jonah left to go on vacation, he was heartbroken after checking his pet cameras only ten minutes into the trip. 

In the camera footage, Pawl can be seen walking around with a fish-shaped toy in his mouth, meowing for someone to play with him. Although babysitters were coming to check on Pawl during Jonah’s trip, he nearly called the whole thing off upon seeing Pawl’s sad routine. However, Jonah and Pawl will soon begin practicing going on car rides so Pawl can come on future trips. 

The video footage quickly went viral. It has been liked 1.6 million times on TikTok. Many comments on the video shared that circumstances like the one depicted caused them to get several cats. “That’s why I have a whole cult of them,” wrote LucidLunarCreations.
