Would you participate in a scavenger hunt in your town if the reward was a stack of cash? Uh, duh! What if in addition to that lovely pile of money, you could also help out animals in need at your local shelter? We know, how craze-mazing would that be!
Well, VidFall, an online auction site that gives back to local communities, is making this genius fundraising idea a reality. The Cash Stash for cats and dogs has been tested out in Manchester, New Hampshire and unsurprisingly, it was a huge success. The VidFall team hides an envelope of cash that is accompanied by the photo and story of an animal who is looking to be adopted from the local shelter. When the envelope is located, its finder has to take a photo of the animal and share their story on Facebook. VidFall then makes a donation matching the amount of money found in the envelope to the shelter — a win-win for all!
