After a natural disaster hits, people band together to help repair the damage as much as they can. Rescuers set out looking for missing people, and the process of recovery slowly, but surely begins. This video features rescuers at work in the aftermath of a massive mudslide that occurred in Guatemala. It is estimated that 50 people were killed in the disaster.
While this event was an incredible tragedy, this video is a reminder of all the amazing work that rescuers and responders do in the wake of disaster.
The dog featured in the video was trapped under a pile of mud and rubble for 18 hours before responders found him. We can only imagine what a terrifying experience that must have been. However, the dog’s nightmare soon came to an end thanks to the brave rescuers who set to work digging the little animal out. In no time at all, they were able to free the pup, and he certainly looks happy to be free!
