Wow, what a cool tree! With the weather cooling down so much, the majority of the surrounding trees have lost most of their leaves. This one still looks pretty bushy, maybe that’s why those random clumps of birds are interested in it? Maybe they just need a cozy place to regroup before they fly south – HOLY BIRD SEED, THOSE AREN’T LEAVES!

Shot in the Netherlands, the world now has a clear picture of what it looks like when hundreds of birds decide to hit the high road all at once, and it is jaw-dropping. While it really only takes a handful of birds to create a “flock,” migrating flocks of birds can sometimes contain 10,000 birds and up!

It’s like a scene from a Hitchcock film, except not at all scary and totally fantastic to behold. So, really, it’s not like a Hitchcock film at all. Maybe Hitchcock-a-doodle do? Hitch-flock? We’ll see our way out…
