The story of Daisy the cow and her little calf Lucky had quite a rough beginning. Daisy was rescued by SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary and currently resides there with her baby, but unfortunately, Daisy was unable to nurse Lucky, so the little one had to be taken to the MSU Large Animal Clinic.
The little cow was not doing very well because he lacked the necessary nutrients from his mother’s milk. Things got even more complicated – the vet was afraid that both animals might have a terminal disease called Johne’s disease. Lucky was kept at the clinic for three days, away from his mom, while the vets were doing everything they could to save him…
Then came the great news – the baby turned out to be completely healthy! He was brought back home and finally reunited with Daisy. The moment they saw each other again is the most heartwarming sight – we probably say that about every reunion video, but is not every single one of them almost too sweet for words? When Lucky and Daisy caught sight of each other, they ran to be together again. We certainly hope this happy ending carries on for many years!
