A sea lion found himself in a rut when he decided to go exploring. He traveled some 1,200 feet from shore and trekked through the barren woods of Kavalerovo, Russia, one chilly afternoon. The little guy had a little too much fun on his adventure and ended up not knowing which way was home.

“There were traces of his flippers in the forest, so for sure he got into the forest all by himself,” said Elena, whose parents discovered the sea lion.

Elena’s parents were taking a stroll through the forest of Kavalerovo when they spotted this unusual sight. A sea lion lost in the forest. And so, they took it upon themselves to bring him back to sea.

Umm…excuse me, sir. I think I’m lost. Where am I?

I really needed a back scratch. Thank you! Yup…that’s the spot.

Can you show me which way’s home? Lead the way!

I swear the way was a lot shorter when I left shore.

Are we there yet?

I see home. Yippee! Thank you, kind sir!

Bye Bye for now! I’ll “sea” you around. Get it…did you “sea” what I did there?

Thank you again!

This sea lion’s learned his lesson about wandering too far from home (or so we hope.)

Remember, although this good samaritan, decided to help out the lost sea lion on his own.
