A Giraffe Walks Into a Restaurant (VIDEO)

Guess who’s coming to dinner? Here’s some hints, she has long skinny legs, a very long neck, she loves to wear patches of dark browns and oranges, and only eats vegetarian. No, she is not an eccentric supermodel, but rather, Perdy the tamed giraffe of South Africa. She surprised every one at an outdoor restaurant when she strolled on though one evening at dusk.

The icon of the African landscape decided to see her food options at a food tent at Lion Park near Johannesburg, South Africa, where patrons filmed their special dinner guest to prove they weren’t dreaming! As Perdy walked through the tent, she was a very polite guest, even though the ceiling was a little too low.

Just like the elephants who walk through the lobby of the Mfuew Lodge in Zimbia, this giraffe feels right at home as she browses the food selections. Although she is tamed and is used to being around people, in a world that tries to keep nature and people separate, it’s always cool to see them come together in such an unexpected, peaceful, and nonchalant way.
