Bryan Johnson, the tech entrepreneur who has become famous for his extreme anti-aging routines, is bringing his unconventional journey to Netflix. The documentary Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever will be available for streaming starting January 1, offering a closer look at Johnson’s obsessive quest to defy aging.
Known for his rigorous lifestyle, Johnson reportedly spends millions annually on experimental treatments, intense fitness regimens, and strict dietary habits. The documentary, directed by filmmaker Chris Smith, will explore Johnson’s personal struggles, his motivations, and the impact of his pursuit on those around him. Smith revealed that his year-long experience following Johnson even led to changes in his own life, like drinking less and prioritizing sleep.
Johnson has faced widespread attention and controversy for his extreme methods. In one notable instance, he and his teenage son participated in a tri-generational blood plasma exchange, where Johnson received his son’s plasma in hopes of reversing cellular aging. He also undergoes extensive medical testing, including tens of thousands of internal images of his body, and reportedly consumes up to 70 pounds of pureed vegetables monthly alongside hundreds of supplements.
Despite skepticism, Johnson remains committed to his mission, claiming measurable results: the heart health of a 37-year-old, the skin of a 28-year-old, and the fitness of an 18-year-old.
