For the first time ever, wind and solar have overtaken fossil fuels in Europe. Together they generated around 30 percent of the European Union’s electricity last year, surpassing coal, oil, and gas combined. Solar alone hit a record 13 percent, with some countries already getting more than 20 percent of their power from the sun. This proves the clean energy transition is real and working. Now leaders must accelerate it. Sign the petition now.
Wind remains Europe’s second largest power source, while coal has fallen to a historic low. Battery storage is also beginning to replace gas during evening demand peaks, helping cut Pollution, stabilize prices, and protect households. But progress is fragile. Grid upgrades, energy storage, and flexibility are lagging behind. Without strong political action, fossil fuels could regain ground. We need more wind, more solar, and more storage now. Sign the petition now to demand bold leadership. Sign the petition now for a livable future.
