Watch This Puppy Reef Shark Snuggle Up with a Diver [VIDEO]

This is unbelievable! Watch as this professional shark handler, Cristina Zenato, summons a reef shark to her lap and then cuddles and pets it like it is a puppy dog. Filmed during Bahamas Underwater Photo Week, this video shows that even sharks can be loving (or at least calm) toward humans.

Now, this is not to say we recommend this practice at all (please do not try this at home), but it is really cool to see a shark handler that is able to establish such trust with a shark so as to allow for this type of interaction. It’s amazing to see how traditionally “vicious” animals can indeed have peaceful interactions with humans (given the right training, safety precautions, and circumstances).
