Neuroscientist Lori Marino is internationally known for her work on animal behavior and the evolution of the brain and intelligence in dolphins and whales. Dr. Marino is president and executive director of The Whale Sanctuary Project, which will establish a model seaside sanctuary for cetaceans. She is also the founder and executive director of The Kimmela Center for Animal Advocacy, and was formerly on the faculty of Emory University.
