Dr. Lance Morgan, Marine Conservation Institute

Dr. Lance Morgan is a marine biologist and president of Marine Conservation Institute, where he leads a team of highly-experienced marine scientists and environmental-policy advocates dedicated to saving ocean life. The organization’s mission is securing protection for important marine habitats and they are developing the Global Ocean Refuge System to accelerate protected areas. Lance has been working in marine conservation for 25 years and in the last few years and has explored the ocean as a SCUBA diver, aquanaut and submersible pilot. He currently holds a research faculty appointment at Bodega Marine Laboratory and is the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Deep Sea Conservation Coalition.
