Life got a lot scarier for one big fluffy Washington dog, who took a tumble down a railroad embankment yesterday. The dog, named Lola, worried her family after she didn’t come home a day earlier. As it turns out, Lola lost her footing and fell over 25 feet, landing beside the tracks and suffering a nasty leg and hip injury.
In the dramatic rescue video posted by emissourian, firefighters come to Lola’s rescue. At 0:15 Lola struggles to stand up on her own, but is quickly helped onto the gurney by firefighters. Scary as the ensuing moments might be, the heart-swelling moment comes at 0:24, when Lola’s family reunites with their wounded pup. You can feel the elated joy in the voices of Lola’s family.
As of now, Lola is recovering at the vet. With all the craziness going on today, it’s always nice to know that there will always be heroes helping, family love, and happy endings. (Even if they don’t happen all the time!)
