At just eight years old, Molly went before the leaders of Midwest City, Oklahoma to make the case for why the city needs a bigger animal shelter. She wanted to be able to help all the animals in need. She was successful, as the shelter is currently being built. As a 10-year-old, Molly is still very passionate about helping shelter animals.

She spends time in the shelter playing with cats, reading to them, petting them, and cares for newborn kittens. A shelter employee explains that it takes cats longer to acclimate to shelters and new homes than dogs, so Molly really helps them get socialized and prepare them for their furever homes, even making them more adoptable.

Molly’s grandmother helps her run a Facebook group called “Molly’s Cause for Paws,” on which she raises money for shelters by selling homemade arts and crafts. One of the shelter employees where Molly volunteers most of her time nominated Molly for Channel 4’s Pay it 4ward which acknowledges admirable people doing great work with a reward.

In the video above, Molly can be seen caring for newborn kittens when she is found by the channel 4 team and given $400. Her nominator even explains Molly used the last of her “Cause for Paws” funds to buy flea and tick beds. Because she is so giving and compassionate, Molly plans to use the money to do more “good things” for animals!
