During this time, with a pandemic going on and healthcare workers being true heroes, it’s important to highlight their kindness and generosity. Many are working harder than ever before on the frontlines with their lives at risk and it’s important to honor them. One nurse named Penny is receiving recognition for her amazing heart.
When Penny learned that one of her terminally ill patients was worried about his dog, she knew she had to help. The dog is a senior who is deaf and nearly blind. With his human in the hospital, he needed some love and care.
Penny tried to find him a home and find someone to take care of him, but had no luck. However, the pup had all the love in the world because Penny herself stepped up for him. She is caring for him until his human is released from the hospital. He is terminally ill though, so Penny knows he may not be reunited with his dog. In that case, she is prepared to give him a forever home and her patient can rest easy knowing his dog is in great hands!
She went above and beyond for her patient and his dog. It’s truly amazing what she’s done.
