In January, the Mexican San Luis soccer team was in the middle of a game when a beautiful stray dog ran onto the field. In a beautiful moment that went viral on Spanish news sites, soccer player Germán Berterame gently and sweetly carried her off the field to safety so the game could continue. The dog looked more than happy to be in the arms of the handsome athlete.
She gave him kisses as he carried her away and happily cuddled in his arms. And it turns out her hugs and kisses were good luck for the team as the same athlete, Berterame went on to score the winning goal.
The team then spent a few days looking for the stray dog who disappeared as quickly as she came. They asked for help from the public for searching for her, and fortunately she was not only found, but she was adopted by the team!
The dog, named Tunita by the team, is living her life out happily with the team’s two other rescues who she enjoys playing with. She gets to wear a team jersey and play on the field with soccer balls!
