Twenty-five retired goats from a local farm were welcomed to New York City for a summer internship! The cute goats will spend the entire summer at Riverside Park where their job is enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet! They’re the perfect natural, organic, pesticide-free solution to rid the park of weeds that are destroying the park’s native plants. Goats can eat about 25 pounds of plants a day, so they won’t easily get tired of chowing down!

New Yorkers were happy to see the goats and welcomed them as if they were celebrities… which they technically now are. Each goat has a photo and profile up on the Riverside Park Conservancy Twitter account. Some of their names are Cinnamon, Swirl, Chalupa, Cheech, Chong, Buckles, Stewey, Stewey, and more!

The Riverside Park Conservancy has been posting wonderful photos and videos of the goats enjoying themselves over on their Twitter account. They also reassured everyone of the goats’ safety showing that they are being patrolled by NYPD day and night!

We’re so happy for these goats who’ve landed the coolest summer internship. They get to just roam, hang out, play, and eat. They’re also treated like celebrities and seem to love the attention!
