It’s no secret that we love animal rescues! Seeing the incredible stories of dogs being rescued and overcoming all ends of survival, we are left in awe of their resilience. No matter how deplorable their previous circumstances may have been, dogs have the extraordinary ability to recover and learn to trust and love as if they’d never known fear or pain. With animal abuse and neglect running rampant in the United States and across the world, it’s easy to lose hope in humanity. But this story will restore your faith…

When John Hwang saw a dog hunched over in a corner of a kennel at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center in California, with her head down, he was understandably heartbroken.

“From her matted fur to her trembling exhausted body told a story of a difficult life. Every movement seemed like a monumental effort for her,” John explained in his Facebook post

Despite all the pain she undoubtedly was in, the dog still pressed her head against the fence and allowed John to pet her.

  1. Misty certainly deserved better than that sad looking "shelter\’. I found my first dog when i was 3 and never bought another except for one when i was a teenager. My mother wanted that and it was the 60\’s and neither of us knew better.. I have lived with many dogs since and could never buy a dog or cat or any animal.
