Sony Introduces New AI-Powered Robot Dog

Pet lovers in the U.S. have something exciting to wag their tails about as Sony Electronics Inc. unveiled its latest innovation, the Aibo Espresso Edition (ERS-1000B) robot dog. Initially launched in Japan and now making its way to American homes, this iteration represents the newest member of Sony’s robot pet family.

However, what truly sets this robotic companion apart is its captivating eyes. Sporting the “odd eyes” feature, the Aibo Espresso Edition boasts the ability to display two different eye colors simultaneously. Owners can further personalize their Aibo’s appearance by selecting from a choice of four additional eye colors.

Equipped with advanced AI technology, this robotic dog comes with a three-year plan designed to nurture and refine its unique personality. Through continuous interaction, the aibo learns to recognize faces, recall joyful moments, and adapt its behavior to suit its owner’s preferences.

Included in the package is everything necessary to kickstart the bonding journey, including a convenient charging station and a pink ball for engaging play sessions. Moreover, the “My Aibo” app simplifies the caregiving process, allowing users to feed, play, and teach their robotic pet new tricks directly from their smartphones. Priced at $2,899.99 the Aibo is exclusively available through Sony’s official website.
