Charlie, a young terrier mix, was found on the side of the road, his fur matted and covered with painful burrs. There was obviously a cute little dog under there, but he couldn’t afford to take any chances. He was admitted to a high-kill L.A. shelter that would euthanize him if he wasn’t adopted in a week, so it was crucial for this pooch to look his best.
Hollywood Grooming’s Jennifer Brenon set to work with her clipper and transformed Charlie into a real beauty, completing the look with a cute doggie bandana. Now he looks great and, more importantly, feels great without all that tangled fur and pointy burrs sticking his skin.
Two days later, the irresistible pup found his forever home.
Few shelter dogs get a grooming like this, but all of them deserve a second chance. Imagine the pleasant surprises you might discover when taking home a pet from your local animal shelter.
