Sad Video of Dog in Ukraine Goes Viral

A heartbreaking video capturing the distress of a dog amidst the chaos of Russian shelling in Ukraine has circulated widely on social media, prompting a wave of sympathy and concern. It now has 515 replies and over 16,500 likes.

Shared by Anton Gerashchenko, an adviser to the minister of internal affairs of Ukraine, the brief clip depicts a dog trembling in shock, visibly affected by the night of relentless bombardment in Dnipro. Gerashchenko’s caption, “Animals suffer from this war, too,” resonated deeply with viewers, drawing attention to the often-overlooked victims of conflict.

The incident occurred amid violence, with Gerashchenko reporting casualties and damage caused by shelling on the night of February 23rd. Among the targets was a high-rise building in Dnipro, resulting in injuries to eight individuals. The toll of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, which recently marked two years since Russia’s full-scale invasion, continues to mount, with over 100,000 lives lost.
