A hilarious video has gone viral showing a dog’s love-hate relationship with her family’s neighbors. Her human talks her down while the neighbors are outside and tells her that she is not allowed to go outside and bark at them.

Lily has a love hate relationship with our neighbours. She loves them when she doesn’t have to be on the other side of a fence or when they give her treats but hates them when they don’t give her treats or she’s on the other side of a fence. Their relationship is complicated. #lily #lilypad #lilypoo #pooper #pupper #greatpyrenees #bernesemountaindog #pooperino

The dog, Lily, can be seen in the video glaring out of the window as the neighbors pass by the outside of their home. Poor Lily, however, was not allowed to go see them, and she tried to fight her mother on it, but she didn’t budge.

The dog’s human, @missdee_dubs, explained on her TikTok that Lily loves to see her neighbors, but when her neighbors don’t give her any treats or she can’t see them behind the fence, she barks at them.

“Lily had seen that our neighbors were out in the yard, and she has a problem expressing her excitement without sounding too scary when she barks,” Whittaker told Newsweek. “They love her, but it can be a lot when they’re out with their toddler to have Lily barking through the fence at them.

“Me and Lily have lots of conversations like this. She’s super smart and I love her reactions, especially when she doesn’t get her way. She always makes me laugh. I just love how chatty she is and how funny she gets,” Whittaker said.

The video has racked up nearly 600,000 views and almost 2,000 comments from users who thought the conversation between Lily and her mom was hilarious.

One user wrote: “her eyes are so expressive OMG i love her”

Another added: “Lily said this house is a prison”

Another wrote: “The side eye at the end was everything!”
