Authorities in Norwich, New York allegedly discovered multiple starved and neglected cats inside a home — along with a cache of dangerous weapons including a gun and metal knuckles. Four people have been charged in connection with the case, and thankfully, the cats are now safe and receiving veterinary care. But justice doesn’t end with rescue — these individuals must never be allowed near animals again.

No creature should endure starvation or neglect, especially in a home allegedly filled with violence and weapons. These rescued cats will soon find loving families, but without strong legal action, others could still be at risk. New York must ensure that those responsible are permanently banned from owning, keeping, or working with animals.
