Funny Video Shows Senior Dog Insisting He Can Make It Up the Stairs Without Help

Just like humans, dogs may begin to have more difficulty getting up and down stairs as they age. However, one spunky senior dog named Toby refuses to accept help. Toby resides at the House With a Heart Pet Sanctuary in Maryland. There, he and other senior dogs can find a haven. However, they are not safe from the whippersnappers on staff who insist on trying to help them climb the steep steps!

In the video, Toby can be seen attempting to summit the stairs. However, when someone tries to assist him, he refuses with a dignified bark.

The video’s caption shares one of the reasons that Toby is having a hard time climbing up the stairs on his own. It says that “he has a messed up leg” from before he lived at the sanctuary. It is thought that it was previously broken and did not heal properly. The video of the ungrateful senior dog has gone viral, receiving over 260,000 likes and 1,138 comments.
