How to Prepare Chickpea and Onion Veggie Burgers [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
- Place all of the ingredients for The Awesome Patty in your food processor and blitz until combined but not pureed.
- Form the mixture into four patties of equal size and put in the fridge while you get everything else ready.
- For the Yummy Tahini Sauce, put the water and tahini in a small bowl and whisk them together until combined, then add the rest of the ingredients. Mix them all together with a spoon until it forms a sauce like texture. Put the sauce in the fridge while you cook the burgers.
- Cook The Awesome Patties in a fry pan over a medium heat in some avocado oil (or whatever you like to fry burgers in) for about 3-5 minutes in each side (depending how well you like them cooked).
- For the Fillings, use whatever burger buns you prefer and use a fork to mash up the ripe avocado with the lemon juice and spread this on the buns. Then put the patty on the avocado, then the onion, tahini sauce and other fillings. Then get ready for one of the best burgers you’ve ever eaten, for real.
