Sea Shepherd has played an integral role in stopping illegal whaling in the Antarctic region since 2002 and has since saved the lives of thousands of whales. While these large marine mammals are the centerpiece of Sea Shepherd’s campaign, they are committed to protecting the entire Antarctic region from human interference and destruction as well.

In this captivating video, Sea Shepherd illustrates the world’s last truly wild frontier, showing how every living part of the Antarctic region is connected. Thanks to its frigid climate, Antarctica has been able to maintain the world’s wild heritage for years, but the expansion of fishing and oil industry threatens its natural integrity.

Although Antarctica seems worlds away from us, we depend on it for our future survival just as readily as the plants and animals that live on the continent.

Check out this mesmerizing video to learn more about our last untouched oasis and join Sea Shepherd on their mission to protect it!
