Growing up with dogs can be an incredibly positive experience for kids. Not only do children who live with dogs tend to have higher immune systems and be more compassionate, but they also get to grow up with the best friend they could ever dream of. Trying to figure out how to navigate this big crazy world can be hard for a little kid, but having the emotional support of a best friend can make it all that much easier.

The little boy in this video has learned a lot about how to be a good friend from his pup-pal. While our dogs are always by our sides to help make us smile when we’re sad, sometimes they need us to return the favor.

When mom and dad leave for work, it can be a difficult experience for kids and dogs alike, but this pair has got it down. Today, the dog is feeling sad about his parents leaving, so the little boy steps in to lend a loving hand. When the roles are reversed, we’re sure the dog is right there to return the favor.
