Homeless Pit Bull Who Lived on the Side of a Highway Couldn’t Trust Anyone — Until Rescues Stepped In (VIDEO)

We’re pretty sure that almost every pet parent has, at some point in their life, wished that they could talk to animals. If only we could communicate the same way, we could learn so much more about who they are. This is especially true of the rescued animals in our lives. Because our pets can’t talk to us, we have to accept that we can never truly understand why some things make our dogs uneasy — but as animal lovers, we can always do our very best to meet them halfway. That’s why when we welcome a rescued animal in our life, we must always be patient, understanding, and shower them with a lot of love. Although locals had been giving this sweet Pit Bull (named Tarzan by Hope For Paws) food and water to help him survive, none were able to get close to him. Instead of curling up in a warm bed next to a human who loves him, Tarzan lived in the bushes by a highway. Thankfully, somebody called Hope For Paws and let them know about this darling pup so he could be given a better life.

It’s simply amazing to see to see how something as simple as snacks and gentle pets on the head transform Tarzan. After he was safely in their care, rescuers JoAnn and Lisa carried him off to meet the veterinary team, get cleaned up, and get even more love. We’re sure he now understands how wonderful humans can be.
