This beauty, named Snowbird, has had a rough life so far and after having three owners, it’s time that she get’s the love and care she deserves. According to the video posted by the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, Snowbird needs to see the vet for several issues. Snowbird has an old broken wing that was not addressed and her droppings are signaling that there is also another issue going on. Additionally, sweet Snowbird has also been plucking at her feathers, which is a sure sign of stress.
The Carolina Waterfowl Rescue is already over budget and is struggling to do as much as possible for the cockatoo. With an appointment already scheduled for the vet, any donations would be a huge help in getting Snowbird the care she needs. How great would it be to see this pretty girl feeling better?
The Carolina Waterfowl Rescue is an all-volunteer organization providing rescue, sanctuary, and rehabilitation of North Carolinas wild and orphaned birds. The group also extends their time, money, and resources to help other animals as well, such as farm animals and exotics. They are committed to educating the public about the needs of waterfowl and how to live peaceably with the world’s wildlife.

HOPE THIS PARROT RECOVERS.
She is doing well!
This is BS. No avian vet would let a parrot suffer with a broken wing. UTTER CRAP. AND YOU HAVE THE BALLS TO ASK FOR MONEY?
NO ONE SHOULD EVEN HAVE A PARROT IF THEY CAN\’T AFFORD VET BILLS.
What are you even talking about. This bird is at a rescue organization, that\’s who\’s soliciting for donations. They just received him last week in this condition.
It is normal for nonprofit animal rescues to ask for donations, as that is their primary source of funding. It costs money for a veterinarian/rescue to treat an animal, the money has to come from somewhere.
Anyway, she had her surgery and is doing well, recovering nicely.
