Get ready to ditch your store-bought facial toner! In just a few moments I whipped up a homemade facial toner that has provided me with rather quick gratification.
This homemade (organic) kombucha aloe facial toner has worked wonders for my skin. Since using this toner I notice that my skin is smoother, there is a reduction in discoloration, and a few of the fine lines have left the corners of my eyes. This amazing homemade facial toner using kombucha, aloe, vitamin e, and a few essential oils (you can skip to the bottom of this post for a printable recipe) is easy to make and easy to use.

I have been using ACV (apple cider vinegar) and water as a facial toner for quite a while. Recently I felt that my (aging) skin needed more. I was working on a new batch of kombucha and wondered if this fermented goodness in a jar would be beneficial for my skin. I hurried to the computer and upon a quick check discovered that yes, kombucha has great benefits for skin.
I paired my new homemade toner with aloe. Aloe leaves contain a plethora of antioxidants including, beta carotene, vitamin C and E that can help improve the skin’s natural firmness and keep the skin hydrated. Aloe can also be used to heal chronic skin problems, such as psoriasis, acne and eczema. I felt that aloe was a great pair for my homemade toner because of its ability to heal, reduce skin inflammation, and fight aging. You can use aloe vera juice or aloe vera serum when making this toner.
I also wanted to incorporate essential oils in my homemade facial toner. You can choose whatever essential oils that work for your skin. I chose frankincense and lavender essential oils.
I also add a few drops of vitamin E oil. Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that prevents premature aging. It supports new skin cell growth and speeds up cell regeneration. So, why not add a few drops?!
This toner is easy to make and even easier to use. Simply cleanse your face and pat dry. Apply a small amount of the homemade toner to a pad or cotton ball. Move the pad or cotton ball gently in small circles across your face, paying special attention to your chin, nose, cheeks and hairline. Avoid your eyes and mouth. Wait for the toner to dry, do not wash it off of your face. If desired, apply moisturizer or serum to your face.
Mix all ingredients, pour into a glass bottle, and store in a cool place.
Voila! Homemade (organic) kombucha aloe facial toner, enjoy!
