How to Prepare Asian-Style Rice Crust Pizza With Mushrooms [Vegan, Gluten-Free]
- Wash and rinse the rice about four times. Bring the rice to a boil with about 2 1/2 cups of water. Once the water starts to boil, turn down the heat, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 12 minutes. Turn off the heat and place the rice in a bowl. Add the garlic powder, chili flakes, and sugar to the rice and mix well. Let it cool down before making the crust.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Place the rice on a piece of parchment paper, wet your hands and shape the rice into the shape of a pizza. Place the crust in the oven and cook it for about 20 minutes. Prepare the toppings while it cooks.
- After about 35 minutes, remove the crust from the oven, add a layer of tomato sauce, and add the toppings. Bake for 15 more minutes.
- Slice and serve.
