Siblings Billie Eilish and Finneas are teaming up with Los Angelesbased restaurateur Nic Adler to open a vegan Italian eatery in L.A.’s Silver Lake neighborhood. The restaurant will be called Argento. The restaurant will showcase vegetable-forward foods and small-batch, artisanal vegan cheeses. The bar menu will consist of a carefully curated selection of natural wines. The wine selection will be curated by Jason Eisner.

Agento is opening in the winter of 2024, according to the company’s Instagram page. Chef Scott Winegard will be at the establishment’s helm. Focusing on farm fresh produce, the menu will be free from processed foods. This includes meat alternatives. Instead, vegetables will be the star of the show. The bar menu will feature natural, vegan wines, but is also expected to include cocktails.

The new vegan restaurant is taking over the space formerly occupied by Little Pine. A vegan institution in its own right, Little Pine was originally owned by musician and activist Moby. It attracted a host of celebrities with its delicious cruelty-free and comforting fare.

Argento is taking over and reimagining the space. Located at 2870 Rowena Avenue, the space will reopen with a chef’s table and a larger outdoor dining space. Inspiration is being drawn from the menu’s Italian roots, although, as Los Angeles Magazine notes the inspiration is more Mediterranean than typical Italian-American restaurants.

Argento’s investors include sibling duo Billie Eilish and Finneas. Both are vegan. Eilish has been vegan for roughly a decade and was vegetarian before that. She is also the founder of Overheated, a plant-based event that hosts environmental activists in hopes of addressing Climate change

Nic Adler has also opened several other vegan restaurants. These include Monty’s Good Burger and Nic’s On Beverly. Both are local favorites. Hopefully, Argento will follow suit and inspire Angelenos to consume more plant-based foods!
