According to Yale University, in the 2026 to 2027 year, undergraduates from families earning under $200,000 can get free tuition. For families earning under $100,000, the school says aid will cover the full cost of attendance, including housing and meals.
The offer applies to newly admitted undergraduates, not every program on campus. Yale also notes that assets can shape aid, so families should still check their details.
That is not a small tweak. It is a clear message that talent matters more than zip code. It also matters for the wider environment. When students carry less debt, more of them can choose public interest work, including climate policy, Conservation, and community resilience.
