Put a baby sloth in front of a camera and you’re guaranteed to capture some cute overload. Now, imagine if you add in a pair of cool looking pajamas…you’ve got a potential Internet sensation! The best part is, it was all done to help these adorable animals.
Judy Avey-Arroyo of the Sloth Sanctuary in Costa Rica has developed a special ointment that deals with parasitic skin infections in orphaned baby sloths (caused by the lack of mother’s milk in their diet).
The video below shows Judy shaving a baby sloth and smothering its naked body with the ointment. The sloth is then wrapped up in bandages to stop him from licking off the ointment. To top it all off, he’s swaddled in a cute, colorful wrapping that looks very much like a onesie.
This video is beyond adorable! Watch it below and click here to find out more about the Sloth Sanctuary and how you can make a donation to help injured, orphaned, or rescued sloths in Costa Rica.
