Tom Hardy has once again stolen our hearts! It’s no secret that the Hollywood star loves dogs. Hardy’s love for canines has even become somewhat of an Internet sensation, with one Instagram account boasting over 117,000 followers filled with nothing but photos of him holding dogs.

Now we have one more reason to admire the talented actor: he recently helped find homes for four Staffordshire Bull Terriers after they had been left abandoned in a cardboard box. A kind person thankfully spotted the dogs after he heard their cries and immediately brought them to the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, an animal shelter in the U.K. Despite the frigid temperatures, all four are in good health.

Tom Hardy kindly posted a photo of the cuties on his Instagram page, asking his 515,000 followers for help finding their forever homes. 

It comes as no surprise that because of Hardy’s plea, Battersea Cats and Dogs Home was flooded with messages from people wanting to adopt the puppies. “We had a lot of people contacting us and there is a waiting list. It is a really nice position to be in,” said a spokesperson for the rescue. All four of the sweethearts have found loving, forever homes!

Thank you, Tom, for helping! If you’re feeling motivated to help shelter animals, you don’t have to be a high-powered celebrity to help. Please always spay and neuter your pets and urge your friends and family to do the same. Fostering an animal is also a great way to help end the pet homelessness crisis. Regardless if you open up your home to a rescued dog, cat, bird, pig, or any pet, you can feel wonderful knowing you have saved a life and cared for an animal who will soon find his or her forever home.
