The first thing a healing diet should do, according to Noire, is improve your blood flow. Secondly, it should balance your body’s pH level. And last but not least, it should improve and repair your gut microbiome.
A 2019 study revealed that plant foods are rich in specific nutrients that can increase levels of beneficial bacteria and decrease harmful strains of bacteria to Support gut health. Plant-focused diets are also rich in fiber, which can contribute to good gut health.
According to another study, a plant-based diet, low in saturated fat and free of cholesterol, helps improve blood viscosity, improves arterial flexibility, and diameter, ultimately leading to better blood flow.
A slightly alkaline balance, preferably between 7.30 – 7.45 on the pH spectrum, can help your body stay in good health. A vegan diet full of plant foods can help your body reach this sweet spot. Cruciferous vegetables, leafy greens, lemons and limes, nuts, and root vegetables are some of the best foods you can eat to balance your body’s pH level.
