Sailor Saves Cat from Icy Waters (VIDEO)

Even though the world has a long way to go before all animals are treated with the respect and rights they deserve, doesn’t mean there aren’t people out there who don’t go out of their way to help animals in need. It says a lot about a person who will drop everything to make a daring rescue of an animal in trouble.

We’ve seen a number of animal rescues this winter already, including the father and son duo who saved deer stranded on a frozen lake with their hovercrafts. Now a video out of Sweden has captured another awesome animal rescue.

This time a sailor by the name of Johan Cutting Karl jumps into freezing water to save a cat who has gotten herself stuck underneath a boat. They suspect the cat had fallen into the icy water and climbed up underneath the boat to stay out of the water but then got stuck. Karl just happened to hear the cat as he approached the boat.

He immediately took action and grabbed a wet suit and jumped in the water to rescue the cat! Karl is one upstanding sailor and shows an amazing character to take time and effort to save one stray cat.
