It’s only been a couple of weeks, but Rescue Dogs Rock NYC has proven once again what the power of love can do. Gallant came to the rescue as an extreme case of neglect. He was covered in skin infections, sores, and was grossly emaciated. Death was imminent, but thank the lucky stars, he was found just in the nick of time!
Since then, this sweet boy has been fighting, along with his caretakers, to get better. He has already gained over six pounds and his skin continues to improve. In fact, he is feeling so much better he’s been wagging his tail and offering his paw! Despite the uplifting news, however, Gallant still has a long ways to go. He’s receiving the best care possible, but in order to continue to the finish line, he needs help.
Please remember that adding a pet to your family is a lifelong commitment that shouldn’t be taken lightly. Make sure every member of the family understands that a pet should be cared for in sickness and health, in good times and bad – just like you would any other family member. Everyone has hard times, but remember that your innocent pet should NOT be the one that suffers.
