Have you seen the video of the bulldog puppy trying to howl? Or what about the brave little pup who tries to comfort his friend after a bad dream? If there’s one thing we can agree on, it’s that puppies are really stinkin’ cute. Even though their bouncy personalities can melt just about anyone’s heart, we should also never forget the respect owed to the older dogs in our lives who have helped us grow up.
Photographer Pete Thorne has started a new project titled “Old Faithful,” a series of photographs that shows off the class, elegance, and grace of elderly dogs. Thorne is planning on creating a coffee table book and possibly open a gallery dedicated to these wonder pooches – he already has 50 dogs included in his project. Thorne receives multiple inquiries per day from owners who want their dogs to be immortalized in the series, and is still taking in more dog models near Toronto, Canada.
Even though older dogs may have lost their enthusiasm for long walks and a game of fetch, the truth is they are still young at heart. Their loyalty to us is sacred, and after years of obedience, they deserve all the love and allegiance they can get.
