Diamond, a paralyzed dog rescued from Kuwait, has just become the most wonderful proof that every story, even one that seems quite hopeless, can have a happy ending. The lucky dog has a very unusual story and a sad past – she was rescued from the streets of Kuwait and brought to the Richmond SPCA in Virginia. Unfortunately, once there, she waited and waited to find a forever home. But, in the end, the wait became completely worth it when Diamond’s whole life changed.
When Zack, her new caretaker and friend, first visited the humane center, he specifically asked to meet the dogs who had been living there the longest. When he saw Diamond and heard her story, he immediately felt connected to the dog – since he had served in Kuwait during his time in the military. Diamond was full of enthusiasm and eager affection upon meeting the person who was about to give her a home. Zack was not discouraged by the needs of a paralyzed dog at all. On the contrary – as Richmond SPCA writes on the group’s Facebook page, Diamond’s new guardian said, “he feels that Diamond needs him as much as he needs her.”
To get to her new home in Washington State, Diamond had a four-day road trip ahead of her – but, with her new best friend at her side, we’re sure she couldn’t be happier!

GREAT PERSON TO SAVE DIAMOND .
one would like to think so Seth.
Stories like this make me think that there may be some hope for humanity, after all.
