Cats love sleeping more than anything else in the world. In fact, most cats sleep between 12 and 15 hours per day, with others going up to 20 hours a day … talk about a cat nap!
But sleepytime can sometimes go on the back burner when cats have playmates that don’t feel like sitting still – like the kitty in this video.
Clearly, this bird wants to play while a cat is in sleeping mode. He pokes, he prods, he pulls, but the parakeet just can’t seem to get his feline best friend to move from his comfy spot on the floor. Halfway in it seems like he’s going to get up! But it’s a false alarm and he just flops over to catch more Z’s.
While we typically think that cats are the sworn enemies of birds, these two friends show us that these animals are much more than their stereotypes. Of course, it is always important to keep an eye on your interspecies pets when they play together, but from the looks of these friends … they’re quite content with one another.
There are few things more valuable than friendship, and these two will definitely be friends for a long time yet.
