A group of lucky travelers sailing in San Ignacio Lagoon, Mexico, in March 2012, got to witness a beautiful gray whale mother and her young calf. The two swam right up to the side of the small boat to say hello. The whale mother even went as far as lift her baby out of the water, so that the humans could meet her lovable offspring.
These whale encounters show how amazing the whale species can truly be. Their curious nature wants nothing more than to greet you and, if they spoke our language, they’ll say a friendly, How do you do?
But, many are hunted and killed or are trapped and cursed to a life of isolation in unnatural environments. The following video shows us how we should experience these amazing creatures — from the wild.
